The congenital rubella syndrome is a multisystem disease, and the central nervous system is involved in the majority of patients. In none of the reported cases with central nervous system involvement, however, has the association of aqueductal occlusion been recorded. This paper describes such an occlusion in a child with a classic congenital rubella syndrome. The case is believed to be the first one reported that shows this association.
