Multiple mononeuropathy in lymphomatoid granulomatosis

Similarity to leprosy

Departments of Neurology (Drs. Garcia and Hackett) and Pathology (Dr. Garcia), Louisiana State University Medical Center and Charity Hospital of Louisiana at New Orleans, and the United States Public Health Service Hospital (Dr. Kirkpatrick), Carville, Louisiana.

Multiple mononeuropathy and anesthetic granulomatous skin lesions were the first manifestations of lymphomatoid granulomatosis in a young woman. The skin lesions resembled those of leprosy. Lymphomatoid granulomatosis is related to midline granulomas and other idiopathic granulomatous angiitic lesions.
