Day and nighttime melatonin and dopamine-P-hydroxylase activity were measured in blood from 10 Jewish and 9 non-Jewish dystonics and from 22 nondystonic family members. Groups did not significantly differ on either of these measures. These results do not support a generalized abnormality of noradrenergic release in dystonia.
