The author reviews the gross, microscopic, and biochemical pathology associated with classic Picks disease, as defined by Constantinidis Type A Picks disease. This is contrasted with other Picks disease subtypes, including Constantinidis Type B (corticobasal degeneration) and Type C (dementia lacking distinctive histology).
