About the Neurology Resident & Fellow Section
Welcome to the Neurology Resident and Fellow Section. This section, developed for the trainee readership, will keep you up to date on issues related to training and career considerations as well as support the development of life long learning skills.
This section is trainee-run: a team of residents and fellows has responsibility for writing, reviewing, editing, and publishing articles of interest to trainees.
The Section also has several different article categories including: Emerging Subspecialties in Neurology, Clinical Reasoning, Right Brain, Child Neurology, Mystery Cases, Pearls and Oy-sters, International Issues, Education Research and Initiatives, Journal Club, Teaching Neuroimages (including both static images and videos), Opinion and other Special Articles.
The group also has responsibility for initiating and developing other unique projects, including podcasts, other electronic communications, a website, and new subsection ideas. Weekly E-Pearls, or e-mail 'pearls' have been sent to residents nationwide since July 2008. This is our archives of e-Pearls.
We welcome submission of manuscripts for the Resident and Fellow Section, and author instructions can be found at http://neurology.org/neurology-journals-author-center. Papers submitted for this Section undergo the same thorough peer review process as all Neurology submissions, and it is anticipated that they will reflect the same high level of quality. The Section targets articles written by trainees which target the trainee audience. We also continue to welcome input from our readers, including program directors and other educators, on features that will be most valuable. Questions and comments should be addressed to Roy Strowd or Kathy Pieper at kpieper@neurology.org.
