Since 2009, the Neurology® Resident & Fellow Section (RFS) has published over 900 Teaching NeuroImages and Video NeuroImages that cover a broad range of neurologic topics. In the latest eBook, editors present a compilation of previously published cases that highlight foundational concepts in clinical neurology. Cases in this eBook were hand-selected based on the educational value and are organized by topic and level of complexity. Each chapter is introduced by our team members and experts in the field. We hope that trainees, advanced practice providers, and physicians in neurology utilize this collection to enhance patient care.
Section 1: Images by Subspecialty includes 11 chapters that feature important images from the most common neurologic subspecialties. This section concludes with a chapter on toxic metabolic abnormalities that can be seen across neurologic disciplines.
Section 2: Videos by Subspeciality includes two chapters that highlight important examination findings in the fields of movement disorders and neuro-ophthalmology. Each case includes an instructive video that brings to life the images and observations that are critical to evaluating a patient with a potential movement disorder, ophthalmologic disease, or related pathology.
Section 3: Imaging Consults includes four chapters on imaging abnormalities that commonly prompt an inpatient consultation or outpatient neurology referral. This section is intended to be a helpful reference when providers are approaching a patient with abnormal imaging findings.
