Jeffrey B. Ratliff, MD
Dr. Ratliff is Clinical Assistant Professor of Neurology at Jefferson University in Philadelphia. He is a medical graduate of the University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry and completed his neurology residency at the University of Virginia. He went on to complete a fellowship in movement disorders at Mount Sinai Beth Israel in New York City. His fellowship was partially funded by the Dystonia Medical Research Foundation and through his fellowship mentors, Dr. Ratliff developed additional clinical experience in the management of dystonia. He joined the movement disorders division in the neurology department at Jefferson University in 2016.
Dr. Ratliff’s clinical practice is focused on the diagnosis and management of the full spectrum of neurologic movement disorders. This includes Parkinson disease and other Parkinsonian disorders, as well as tremors, dystonia, ataxia, tics, gait disorders, and other neurologic disorders compromising the control of movement. His area of academic focus is in medical and neurology education. At Jefferson, Dr. Ratliff serves as the Director of the Neurology Residency Program as well as of the Fellowship in Movement Disorders. Dr. Ratliff is involved in education at all levels from undergraduate medical education at Sidney Kimmel Medical College at Jefferson University to graduate medical education in the residency and fellowship programs to continuing medical education for physicians and health professionals through his work with the Neurology® Podcast and Neurology Minute. His areas of research include wellness and burnout mitigation amongst physician trainees as well as advancing neurology education, often focused on innovation using digital technology.
